Phi-Tilt Features & BenefitsThe Phi-Tilt stage is a limited rotation rotary stage for small ±0-5º motion, typically used for alignment purposes. This stage system features a patented design concept to enable tilt in multiple axes, taking full advantage of the latest technology in motion control and precision positioning techniques. The rotation is powered by a miniature torque motor of a brushless 3-phase servo version. This eliminates all mechanical transmission devices and makes a direct pure electromagnetic drive with no backlash, lost motion or hysteresis. The position feedback is provided with a direct reading non-contacting all solid state chip encoder in a miniature version providing 0.36 arc sec/.00001 degree resolution with an index home marker. |

PHI–Tilt Single and dual axis Tilt stage |
ApplicationsThe Phi-Tilt design is compact and rugged with a 24/7 use in mind. The product is available as a single tilt axis with a 60 x 40 mm footprint x 42 mm high, or a dual tilt axis with a 130 x 110 mm footprint x 58mm high. Each version can stand on its own or be combined into a dual tilt or be used on a linear or rotary stage. This tilt stage system interfaces directly with our standard MICROMATIC-9 integrated servo control and operates like all other linear and rotary motor brushless servo motors. The structural material is high strength aluminum alloy finished with hard coat anodize in black or gray.
